In her book, partially obtained by TMZ, she claims her parents and team were pushing for her to either get an abortion or put her child up for adoption. It was their alleged attempt to hide her pregnancy from the public: “It will kill your career. You are just too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take. We can help you take care of this problem … I know a doctor,'” adding, “everyone around me just wanted to make this ‘issue’ disappear.” In the book Jamie Lynn says flatly, “…everyone was certain that termination would be the best course of action.”
Jamie Lynn said she wasn’t even allowed to tell her big sister, Britney, she was pregnant at the time, saying, “I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time … To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers.”

She added that her phone was taken away and even got into a big argument with her father James Spears as he tried to push for adoption.
However, after coming to terms with her situation, Spears says her team made an exclusive agreement with OK! Magazine to break the pregnancy story, and give them the first images of Jamie Lynn’s baby.
