Influencer Sara Gilson Filed Multiple Restraining Orders Against Estranged Husband Before Fatal Shooting

On Thursday (July 23), the Owasso Police Department (OSCN) arrived at Gilson’s home at around 11:15 p.m. According to KTUL, a child living at the home called 911 to report a domestic dispute. The child was not hurt. Upon arrival, police found Gilson, 43, and Duffey, 48, dead with gunshot wounds.

An extended family member later identified the couple — who were going through a divorce — to Tulsa’s News Pulse. The family member alleged Duffey broke into Gilson’s home, killed her, and then turned the gun on himself.

According to OSCN, Gilson filed for an emergency protective restraining order against Duffey on June 10. He was immediately ordered out of their home and to stay 100 yards from Gilson. On July 10, she filed another order, alleging Duffey had a gun, threatened suicide, “and went on the run.”

Influencer Sara Gilson Accuses Husband Of Being A Pedophile As Woman Alleges He ‘Kissed And Touched’ 15-Year-Old Daughter

By June 23, the order was extended through August 24. The same day Gilson filed her order, another woman filed a separate protective order against Duffey on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter who played on a youth basketball team he coached. The girls’ mother alleged Duffey kissed and touched the child before being caught by another coach.

The child told her mother Duffey allegedly engaged in other inappropriate behavior, like sending her messages, inviting her to his hotel room during a tournament trip, and offering her money “to keep her quiet.” That order was also extended through August 24 on June 23.

Weeks later, on July 11, Gilson uploaded a video to her TikTok. She jumped on the Netflix documentary trend and accused her estranged husband of being a pedophile. Gilson wrote over the video, “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile.” She captioned the post, “I wish I was joking.”

On July 20, she shared another post that read, “May whatever the f**k that was never find me again.” Three days later, Gilson and Duffey were found shot dead. Gilson, who worked as a hair stylist in Owasso, leaves behind two kids from a previous marriage.

According to The Oklahoman, Gilson had also filed two protective orders against Duffey in 2021. However, they were later dismissed because she did not attend the hearings.
