ICYMI: President Biden Forced To Remind Everyone He Doesn’t Control The Weather: “It’s Beyonce Ridiculous”

In case you missed it, President Biden recently addressed what he deemed “stupid” and “false” claims regarding the federal government’s ability to control the weather, assertions that have been promoted by certain politicians and high-profile figures.

During a briefing with Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, Biden spoke about the “onslaught of lies” propagated by Donald Trump and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. “I want to be clear about something. Over the last few weeks, there’s been a reckless, irresponsible and relentless promotion of disinformation and outright lies that are disturbing people,” Biden stated. “It’s undermining confidence in the incredible rescue and recovery work that has already been taken and will continue to be taken. It’s harmful to those who need help the most. There is simply no place for this to happen.”

He elaborated, “Now the claims are getting even more bizarre. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congresswoman from Georgia, is now saying the federal government is literally controlling the weather. We’re controlling the weather,” Biden remarked. “It’s beyond ridiculous. It’s got to stop. Moments like this, there are no red or blue states.”

As previously reported, Trump made baseless claims that people’s homes and/or property would be confiscated after evacuating to escape Hurricane Helene and that those affected by the storm are only receiving $750 in assistance. Trump also asserted that federal disaster relief funds intended for hurricane victims were being distributed to undocumented immigrants.

Regarding Greene, she tweeted last week, “Yes they can control the weather. It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.” Biden has since refuted all of these false claims.

The Latest On Hurricane Milton:

Hurricane Milton swept through Florida on Wednesday, leaving 3 million people without power as of Thursday morning. Rescue missions are currently in progress, and Biden has urged residents to stay indoors until assistance becomes available.

“To everyone impacted by Hurricane Milton: I urge you to stay inside and off the roads. Downed power lines, debris, and road washouts are creating dangerous conditions. Help is on the way, but until it arrives, shelter in place until your local officials say it’s safe to go out.”
