Ice Spice Kicks Off NYFW With Fragrance Launch Party for Debut Scent “In Ha Mood”

Last night, New York City got a preview of Fashion Week before the first show even hit the runway, and it came wrapped in a cute bottle. Ice Spice pulled up to After Eden on the Lower East Side on September 9th and flipped the chic cocktail bar into something straight out of the Bronx, a full-blown bodega storefront, roses and all, giving fans a first look of the In Ha Mood world before they stepped inside to celebrate!

The Bronx rap star who looked absolutely gorg last night, has been building an empire far outside music for a minute now, and “In Ha Mood” which is named after the 2023 hit that put her on everybody’s radar, is her latest fun move yet. Working alongside Revlon, Ice Spice teamed up with three expert noses,  Adriana Medina, Christine Hassan, and Carine Certain Boin to build the Floral Fruity Amber scent from the ground up, opening with what the brand calls a Queen Royale Accord, a berry-pear-raspberry blend created specifically for Ice Spice. The heart of the scent leans into rose, plum blossom and magnolia.

The party matched the energy of the fragrance itself. Guests moved through a space dressed to look like a corner store, complete with a scent bar so people could actually experience the notes layer by layer, oversized bottle displays scattered throughout, and a live engraver on-site personalizing bottles for guests on the spot. Artist Chris Lloyd was out there too, hand painting bottles so everybody left with a one-of-one to take home, because if Ice Spice is going to throw a party, everybody’s leaving with a souvenir that actually means something. Okay!

DJ Boof kept the whole night moving, running Ice Spice’s own catalog all evening, so guests were literally vibing to the soundtrack of her come-up while celebrating her next chapter.

And the crowd was exactly who you’d expect to pull up for Ice. Streamer Jordan Lucas, Stunna Sandy and Giovanna “Gio” Ramos were in the building, along with Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee, who’s become a regular in Ice Spice’s circle. Model Lauren Luoo was also in the mix, as well as Arrogant Tae who absolutely slayed Ice’s hair.

Even the food and drinks stayed true to the bodega concept. Guests sipped on The Queen Accord Royal, a coconut-gin cocktail mixed with blood orange, cranberry, and kalamansi, while snacking on some signature NY food.

The bottle itself carries the same energy, a soft pink finish, sculptural silhouette, butterfly-inspired bow detail at the neck and an emerald-cut cap, with the In Ha Mood name scripted across it like a signature. Since its official debut back in August, the fragrance has already made noise online, with its Ulta Beauty TikTok Shop LIVE reportedly pulling in 178,000 views and nearly six million impressions, making In Ha Mood the first brand ever introduced through that platform.

With New York Fashion Week kicking off right behind this celebration, Ice Spice made sure her name was the first one on people’s lips before the runways even lit up. She isn’t just showing up to Fashion Week this year. She’s setting the tone for it!
