Ice Cube is reportedly losing out on a movie role with a payout of $9 million because he hasn’t received the COVID-19 vaccine.

The actor apparently refused to get vaccinated in order to secure his role for the upcoming film “Oh Hell No” after producers made the request. According to TMZ, Ice Cube was set to star alongside Jack Black after signing up for the film with Sony in June. Months after he agreed to do the film, producers requests for all cast members to get vaccinated.

The studio is now looking for a replacement for Ice Cube but the rapper has yet to release a statement on the situation. Fans and those who opposed his views also commented on the situation and said they are fully supporting his decision for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine.

He recently made headlines after donating thousands of masks to the Bacone College in Oklahoma to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on campus. Ice Cube also launched merchandise earlier this year with merchandiser Black Out and used the proceeds to help essential workers.
