HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To The Fourth Annual Kodak Film Awards

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building for the fourth annual Kodak Film Awards that was held at the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Clubhouse on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, in Hollywood. The night shined light the resurgence of film and the greats who continue to pave the way in filmmaking.

The night also celebrated Disney, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros. where the committed to buying undisclosed amounts of motion picture celluloid!

President of Motion Picture and Entertainment, Steve Bellamy presented the winners with their awards, including Academy Award® winning director, writer and producer Quentin Tarantino who received the Kodak Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry and was presented with a speech from fellow Award-Winning director, Christopher Nolan.

Following his legendary Grammy performance, Tyler, the Creator received the inaugural Maverick award. Noah Baumbach(Marriage Story) and Greta Gerwig (Little Women) received Auteur Awards for their directorial work and our girl, Melina Matsoukas (Queen & Slim) received the First Feature Award.  Dan Mindel (Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker) and Rodrigo Prieto(The Irishman) received Lumiere Awards.
