It is reported that the former Disney star was picked up on Saturday evening (August 26) while in Rockwall, Texas. Local law enforcement officials claimed that they responded to a call for service at a nearby hotel around 7 p.m., which is where witnesses claimed they saw Musso acting belligerent. They also claimed the 32-year-old actor stole something from a food market.

According to Rockwall Police officials, Musso “selected a bag of chips and began eating them.” Then when employees of the market demanded that he pay for the item, he allegedly became verbally abusive towards the staffers and then fled the store “without rendering payment.”

When officials with the Rockwall Police Department arrived to the scene, they reported that they discovered Musso outside of the hotel, and that he appeared under the influence. Rockwall Police officers also claimed that they conducted a “routine records check” and found a boatload of outstanding traffic warrants out of Rockwall County under his name.

Subsequently, this is what led to his arrest. Rockwall Police officers took Musso into custody and hit him with a slew of charges ranging from theft (under $100), public intoxication, expired registration, failure to display a driver’s license, and violating a promise to appear notice.

Upon being charged and booked, Musso posed for a mugshot against a concrete wall at the Rockwall County Detention Center, while wearing a white towel across his chest. Authorities claimed that Musso spent one night in jail and ended up being released from Rockwall Police custody on Sunday afternoon after posting a $1,000 bond.

At the time of publishing this article, it is unclear what Musso’s additional outstanding traffic warrants were related to. However, prior to his Texas arrest for theft and public drunkenness, Mitchel Musso has been revered as a successful actor. Aside from starring in his big and notable role on ‘Hannah Montana‘ for five years, Musso also voiced the role of “Jeremy Johnson” on the Disney animated series, ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ plus more.
