Did Snoop Dogg just fool everyone? It looks so! After shocking the world by announcing he “quit smoke,” it appears that the rapper didn’t wrap up his blunts after all.

This Monday morning, he dropped an ad where he revealed just how he quit smoking. In a video advertisement with SoloStove, Snoop says “I’m done with smoke. I’m going smokeless with @SoloStove,” while promoting the new line of their products. Clearly, it was a great marketing move as it caught everyone’s attention. However, now social media users are reacting to the hilarious spin.

As we previously reported, the rapper took to social media last week to “break” the news. He said at the time, “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke,” Snoop previously wrote in a message shared on Instagram and X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, last Thursday. “Please respect my privacy at this time.”

Now we all knew that the 52-year-old rapper had been smoking for years and believed he was finally putting it aside to better his health. Snoop Dogg even inspired Meek Mill to make a lifestyle change.

“Ima wait once I go cold in Dubai,” Meek wrote in a tweet that contained a photo of Snoop’s announcement. “Snoop start the no smoking challenge we gone follow up! It’s not healthy for me!” In a follow-up post, Meek also revealed that he was going to follow Snoop’s guidance because his doctor told him that he has “a lil bit [of] emphysema” while noting that smoking cuts his “lifeline in half.”

“I was addicted to the nicotine and this new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental,” he added.

Fellow rapper Boosie even felt compelled to share his own journey after stopping his marijuana use. “I mean, he [Snoop Dogg] know what he need better than anybody,” Boosie said in a post. “I know you’re gonna gain weight. You’re gonna think better. Since I don’t smoke, I don’t get mad as I used to get mad. I think better. I was smoking an ounce a day. Since I don’t smoke my temper is controlled.”

While a positive movement seemed like it was going to happen, it looks like it won’t happen after all.
