Clearly, some of us are in the wrong line of work, because a golden retriever is reportedly earning over $1 million a year by being a pet influencer, and if you didn’t want to be the center of attention on social media, involve your loveable pets as long as they enjoy being a part of it.

Per portrait company Printed Pet Memories, 5-year-old golden retriever Tucker Budzyn has taken the internet by storm and is earning big bucks as brands and companies are looking to platforms like Tik Tok to promote their products with animal influencers, and what better way than through our wholesome pets?

According to the NY Post, Tucker’s owner revealed that most of his revenue comes from sponsored ads across all of the different social media pages he has. He has worked with big pet brands such as Bark Box, Vessi, Pug Life, and Furbo who are eager in getting their products in front of his huge audiences.

“A YouTube-paid post can be anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000 for a 30-minute pre-roll,” his owner Courtney Budzyn revealed. “Instagram, we make about $20,000 for anywhere from three to eight stories.”

The journey started in 2018 when Tucker was a Puppy

31-year-old Budzyn used to work as a cleaner and her partner was a civil engineer, they ended up quitting their jobs to manage their viral dogs.

Tucker’s viral journey started when Budzyn got him as a puppy in 2018 when he was just 8 weeks old. She started an Instagram page for him and posted a video of him pawing at an ice cube, and of course, when fur balls do anything it is cute and instantly viral.

Initially, Tucker made funny TikToks, vlogs, and challenges. He soon incorporated his son Todd! What makes Tucker stand out is that he is given an almost human voice that has gravitated with viewers and taken him across multiple social platforms.

Tucker has now accumulated 11.1 million on TikTok, 5.1 million on YouTube, and 4.3 million on Facebook. 3.4 million on Instagram.

According to research some of the biggest dog influencers can earn on average $8,223 per post. However, it is not advised that the public go out and adopt pets with the idea that they can be a pet influencer overnight and that the well-being of their pet should come first.
