A woman revealed the moment her mother-in-law tried to steal the shine on her wedding by wearing an exact copy of her wedding gown.

Jasmine Hopper revealed on TikTok how her mother-in-law tried to ruin her wedding day by dressing similarly to her wedding gown. When Hopper and her husband confronted the situation with his mother, she revealed that the gown was cream with gold sequins. According to the New York Post, Hopper went wedding dress shopping with her mother-in-law and found the perfect gown.

Hopper did her makeup and hair on her wedding day and had no clue that her future mother-in-law bought the same dress until she saw her during the ceremony. Her sister also wanted to throw drinks on the dress because it was considered taboo to wear white to a wedding, especially if it was the same dress as the bride.
“No one could distract me. There was one single thing — not even wearing a white dress to my wedding that could distract me. So when she was wearing that dress and practically showed up in the same dress I was wearing, I really had no reaction other than, ‘Huh. Maybe she shouldn’t be wearing that.
After seeing her wedding photos, Hopper fully realized what had happened and became upset with her mother-in-law for wearing the same dress. Her husband was not aware of the situation either, and he became upset. Additionally, knowing that her mother-in-law wore the white dress made things awkward during the mother-son dance since her guests commented on it.
“It hurts my soul. I can think about when I think about my wedding is the dumb bitch who had my dress on.”
The couple didn’t speak to the woman for nine months until she contacted them and said her mother-in-law was stunned about their reason for not speaking. She attempted to gaslight the couple and said the dress was a different color but later apologized in a text message.

However, things went completely left after the woman sent the couple a Christmas card with a photo of the offending wedding outfit. The video currently has 6.2 million views as other commentators disliked her mother-in-law’s actions. A wedding photographer said, “As a photographer I always edit their dresses a different color ! Usually 💩 brown 🥰.” Another said,
