Ghislaine Maxwell Federally Charged With Sex Trafficking Of A Minor
For the first time, Ghislaine Maxwell, a former associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been federally charged with sex trafficking of a minor on multiple occasions. Federal prosecutors alleged she recruited and groomed a 14-year-old girl to engage in sex acts with Epstein from 2001 to 2004.
Additionally, prosecutors claims Maxwell and Epstein recruited the underage girl to perform massages, which became sexual during visits to Epstein’s Palm Beach residence. In exchange for the illicit sexual acts, prosecutors allege that the couple would pay hundreds of dollars in cash during each encounter.
As we previously reported, Maxwell was charged by New York federal prosecutors with conspiracy and enticing minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, plus the transportation of minors to engage in criminal sexual activity for allegedly grooming and recruiting underage girls from 1994 though 1997. Maxwell continues to denies all allegations against her, and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
