#Socialites, get a load of this! Sharika Soal, a journalist at Gateway Pundit, is causing an uproar after telling America, “It’s time to move on from blackface.”

Before we get into what Sharika Soal had to say and the backlash she received, let’s first address the platform that she works for. Gateway Pundit has been notoriously described as an American far-right news outlet. The influential website is also said to be known to “peddle falsehoods and conspiracy theories,” “regularly distort information,” and publish “hoaxes.”

With that out of the way, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that one of its journalists is catching heat for a few controversial comments. Sharika Soal, who claims to have been born in Chicago, Illinois to a 14-year-old Black woman, recently took to her social media to share a message to America about moving on to other important issues other than blackface.

In her May 10 video, stamped with the Gateway Pundit logo, Sharika Soal says, “It’s been zero days since there’s been any nonsense going on in America. Two students were just awarded $1 million after they were falsely accused of wearing blackface and then kicked out of a California Catholic school.”

Soal then tells viewers, “Let’s get right to the point. It’s time that America move on from blackface — and I mean, being offended by it. That is the equivalent of somebody calling you a ‘poo poo head.’ It’s not a real issue. It’s not actual government corruption or oppression. It’s also very hypocritical of Democrats and people on the left to tell everybody to focus on the real issues — to focus on the ‘genocide’ happening in Israel.”

Sharika Soal continues to advise Americans on what to divert their attention instead of blackface. She adds, “How about you focus on American issues that are happening right now; and stop freaking out about stuff like blackface that doesn’t actually affect Black Americans in a real way, in a modern world.”

Before her video ends, she continues to tell America, “One day, you might not be able to afford your WiFi if you keep voting for [President Joe Biden] and then you won’t be able to complain about blackface.”

Without mentioning, Gateway Pundit journalist Sharika Soal caught major heat for her controversial remarks with social media users dragging her. One person wrote, “Ain’t you Nigerian?” While some users came to her defense and called “cap,” claiming she is “Black American,” another person added, “She is a proud divestor 😂. She hates Black men. Her entire audience is White people that love her talking points. Also, I’m pretty positive she used to do p*rn. She just says whatever to get a check.”

After another person added, “You are not ethnically Black American. So, your opinion on this issue doesn’t matter,” someone else came to her defense and said, “She is Black and born in America, which makes her a Black American. The only difference between her and you is that she chooses not to be a victim.” Soal responded, “You don’t have to reply to people who lie. None of these people have met my birth parents who are Chicago natives. This account is psychotic.”

She then said, “This is my mom,” while attaching an old tweet from August 26, 2023. The tweet featured a video of a Black woman who said, “Hi. My name is Annette Allen. I live here in Chicago, Illinois, born and raised. But, I’m really not here to talk about me. I’m here to talk about my daughter: Lady Soal. I grew up here in Chicago and I had three beautiful children that I tried to save at a young age, I was a baby myself. I moved to Davenport. I had to run into my father to ask him to help me because I didn’t my kids to be raised in Chicago, where it was bad at, where there was drugs and guns. I wanted my kids to make it.”

Accompanying the video, Sharika Soal tweeted, “I was born in Chicago to a 14-year-old. I do believe God is in control. No one listened to my birth mom when she had to run away from child predators and gangs in Chicago. I am her daughter and I not only heard her, but I will stand up for her.”
