Let’s goo! Former MLB star Carl Crawford recently experienced a full-circle moment with his son Justin Crawford as he hit his third home run of his career!
The Philadelphia Phillies player hit his third rookie home run — and this one was the first for Carl to witness in person. Justin signed to the Phillies in July 2022, debuted in the Majors in March 2026, and hit his first homer on May 8, his second on May 13, and his third on September 12.
On Saturday (September 12), the Phillies played the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. During the matchup — which ended with the Phillies winning 9-4 — Justin hit his third home run of his rookie MLB season. Justin hit the solo shot to right field with his four-time MLB all-star father proudly watching from the stands.

While Carl has been with Justin for every step on his way to the Majors, this moment marked the first time the father got witness his son hit an MLB home run in person. The incredible feat, also marked the third time Justin struck a home run in his MLB career.
While taking to his Instagram, Carl shared a video of the exact moment. He captioned the post:
“I’ve seen a lot of home runs in my lifetime… but this one hit different ⚾ ❤️. Got to watch my son @justincarlcrawford go yard in person for the FIRST TIME! Pops was in the building for this one 🙏🏾💪🏾🔥! Keep going, son… I’m enjoying every second of this journey ⚾❤️. #ProudDad #LikeFatherLikeSon #BaseballFamily.” In a second comment, he wrote, “He hit a home run 💫.”
Carl has spent 15 seasons building his own Major League Baseball career. Now, he is proudly watching his son carve out his own legacy in the Majors. Before this major milestone between father and son, earlier this season, more than 40 family members and friends joined Carl to celebrate Justin’s MLB Opening Day weekend.
