‘Friday’ Star Anthony Johnson Cause Of Death Revealed As Chronic Alcohol Use
Last September, we reported on the loss of comedian and ‘Friday‘ actor Anthony Johnson, aka. AJ Johnson. It’s now been reported that the 55-year-old’s cause of death is revealed as chronic alcohol use.
Per an autopsy obtained by TMZ, Johnson died of “chronic ethanol use,” aka alcohol. The report notes that the manner of death was natural and that there were no alcohol or common drugs of abuse found in his system upon toxicology testing.

The coroner’s office also reported that Johnson had tested positive for COVID-19 prior to his passing. However, they did not find any signs of pneumonia. Following the cause of death report, the actor’s widow, Lexis Johnson, wants the public to know and be aware of the lethal effects of alcohol. As for his legacy, she says it will live on through a foundation created in his memory and name.
