Brian Kilmeade Issues Public Apology
Welp, as expected, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade is backtracking after major backlash over his disturbing remarks about the homeless community. During a Sunday appearance on Fox & Friends, Kilmeade admitted he went too far, saying:
“I wrongly said they should get lethal injection. I apologize for that extremely callous remark. I am obviously aware that not all mentally ill, homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion.”
His words came after social media dragged him for openly suggesting something that many called “murder on live TV.”

As we previously reported on Hollywood Unlocked, Kilmeade originally made the comments while discussing America’s ongoing mental health crisis with his co-hosts.
The Original Controversial Comments
Last week’s Fox & Friends segment had social media users livid after both Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade gave their raw takes on how to handle mentally ill homeless individuals.
Jones said,
“Put him in a mental institution, put him in a jail, and you guys figure it out. But people having to duck and dive on the trains and the buses, walking through the street, this is one case, but this is happening all across the country, and it’s not a money issue.”
He continued, pointing out that billions have already been allocated to mental health and homelessness, but many still refuse help. “You can’t give them a choice. Either you take the resources that we’re going to give you or you decide that you are going to be locked up in jail. That’s the way it has to be now,” he said.
That’s when Kilmeade jumped in with the shocking line: “Or involuntary lethal injection.” Jones quickly replied “Yeah,” while Kilmeade doubled down: “Just kill them.”

Social Media Backlash
Of course, the internet wasted no time calling out Kilmeade. Clips of the broadcast quickly went viral, and users across X (formerly Twitter) demanded accountability.
One post read:
“Brian Kilmeade live on the air suggests doing lethal injection on homeless people involuntarily, against their will. Murdering homeless people. And these are the people calling Democrats violent?”
Another user said:
“Today would be a good day for Fox News Brian Kilmeade to RESIGN.”
And another compared the double standard: “Mathew Dowd lost his gig at MSNBC for pointing out that Charlie Kirk had engaged in hate speech. Meanwhile, Brian Kilmeade openly suggests that we should euthanize the homeless and there’s zero outrage or repercussions.”
What’s Next For Brian Kilmeade And Fox News?
Right now, it’s unclear how Fox News will handle this situation. Other TV hosts have been fired for far less, but Kilmeade remains in his chair for now.
Fox News hasn’t released an official statement on whether disciplinary action is coming, and critics are watching closely to see if there’s any accountability.
