Although they did not disclose who the four players were, the Nets have thanked fans for their continued support:
As always, we appreciate support of our fans, partners, and surrounding community, and we wish all of those who are battling this virus a speedy recovery.
Recently, the Nets have played against the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Boston Celtics. One of the first players to be positive with the virus was Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz along with teammate Donovan Mitchell. Another player from the Detroit Pistons also tested positive for the virus.
We wish them a speedy recovery. But, with all due respect, an entire NBA team should NOT get tested for COVID-19 while there are critically ill patients waiting to be tested.
Tests should not be for the wealthy, but for the sick. https://t.co/7uQlL3zc7Z
