Former U.S. Presidents (Minus One) Come Together To Urge Americans To Get Vaccinated

Back in December, former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton confirmed that they will be getting vaccinated to promote public confidence in the vaccine’s safety.

This month, all four living former Presidents including Jimmy Carter teamed up for ad campaigns urging Americans to get the coronavirus vaccine when it is their turn, a big push that is aimed at combating vaccine skepticism. Of course, former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump are not featured in either ad, the only living President and First Lady to not participate.

The ad clip shows the four Presidents and former First Ladies receiving their vaccines, and another that features Clinton, Bush and Obama standing together to urge Americans to step up and do the same.

This comes as the U.S. plans to buy 100 million additional doses of Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine, two administration sources told NBC News.
