Sadly, Brown was escorted out of the home, unwillingly. The resident, who has kidney disease and receives dialysis twice a week, took her dialysis machines and bags that she had packed with her.
In recent interview Brown spoke about her eviction and said, “They initiated the eviction process against me in January of 2021 and I told her I wasn’t moving and part of the reason I wasn’t moving was because when I moved here we were promised home ownership. We were told we would own these houses after 7 years. But because I questioned the lies that she was telling the public and made reference to the fact that she’s putting our home ownership in jeopardy.”
“She tried to evict my neighbor across the street, the person who used to live there I spoke up about that.” She continued. “It’s really like a plantation atmosphere here and I mentioned that to her and after that she wanted me to go.”
Now Brown says after she told her that and brought up how they never received financial coaching like they were told, the landlord moved to evict her. Later in the interview, she wanted to clear up rumors for the people who said she was given proper notice of her eviction.

“Typically the bailiffs put a notice on your door and tell you that you have 24 hours to vacate, I never received that. I was here, what made me start the 24 hour vacating process was this morning somebody shot into my house. So when that happened I started rallying up the troops to come help me move my stuff. While we were over here preparing to move my stuff, that’s when the bailiffs showed up.”
