Foot Locker, Inc. Partners With Rock The Vote To Turn Stores Into Voter Registration Hubs
Foot Locker, Inc. is partnering with Rock the Vote in order to turn their U.S. family of brands’ stores into voter registration hubs, encouraging young, Gen Z voters and more to show up to the polls this election season.
In addition to Foot Locker, umbrella stores Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Eastbay, Footaction, Runners Point and Sidestep will be taking part in hosting registration booths for new voters to sign up ahead of the 2020 elections, less than two months away. The news also arrives days before “National Voter Registration Day,” occurring next Tuesday (Sept. 22).

Richard Johnson, Chairman & CEO, Foot Locker Inc., says, “In a year marked with such uncertainty, amid a pandemic and social unrest, our country’s future—and our collective role in shaping it—has never been more important. At Foot Locker, our mission is to inspire and empower youth culture, so partnering with Rock The Vote was a natural fit to help educate and amplify the voices of today’s youth.” By the end of August, Rock the Vote registered over 870,000 new voters, compared to the 826,000 registrations in 2018.
