Florida Mom Dies Weeks After Teens Beefing With Her Son Run Her Over With A Church Van
Succumbing to her injuries, Suzette Penton, a 52-year-old Florida mom, has died weeks after being ran over with a church van, driven by teens who were beefing with her teenage son, Hunter.
On November 9, Penton, who was a Polk City librarian, came home to find her son being allegedly assaulted by a group of teens. While trying to intervene, Penton was eventually mowed down by the dark van they arrived in. The incident reportedly happened over a “romantic entanglement” that Hunter was in with two of the teens on the scene.
Law enforcement officials have since identified 18-year-old Elijah Stansell as the driver of the church van — a church to which his father is a pastor. He was joined by Raven Sutton, 16, Kimberly Stone, 15, and Hannah Eubank, 14. It’s stated that Stansell was dating Stone, the ex-girlfriend of Hunter. After the incident, Penton suffered a traumatic brain injury with several broken bones and died two weeks later on November 25. All four teens are being charged as adults in connection with Penton’s death.
