Florida Man Finds Dead Body In Trash Can He Was Storing For A Friend
A Manatee County, Florida man was caught by surprise after finding a dead body in a 55-gallon trash can he was storing for a friend in a mobile home park.
Per Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) officials the man who was holding onto the container for over two months decided to open the lid after noticing a foul smell. To his surprise, instead of “personal items” he thought he was storing, he discovered a badly decomposing body wrapped up.

Currently, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is working to identify the remains and how the person died. MSCO spokesman Randy Warren says, “The guy holding this trash can said that he thought it was a container of personal items. He was told by the owner of the can, ‘I’ll be back for it later on.’ If we find there is something here that leads to a person of interest [the information will be made public]. Detectives need some time to figure things out.”
