Flight Attendant Allegedly Tells A Mother To Glue Mask On Her Toddler’s Face
A Virginia Beach mother is speaking out against Southwest Airlines for an incident that involved her 2-year-old on a flight.

Ali Cleek was on a flight from Orlando to Norfolk, Virginia, traveling with her husband and two children, 4 and 2 years old. Cleek shared that her two year old daughter was crying and could not keep her mask on according to NYpost.
Cleek took to Instagram and posted, “Drew is a thumb sucker and her only way she biologically knows how to soothe herself is by sucking her thumb which is damn near impossible with a mask.”
The flight attendant stood over top of Cleek and her husband while they were trying to get Drew to put her mask on.
She stated what happened next, still has her shaking to this day.
Cleek says she doesn’t know if it was sarcasm or not, but reportedly the flight attendant told her she had two options: Cut a hole in the mask or glue it to her face.

“I just know that regardless if it was sarcasm or not I was embarrassed and trying to follow the mandate as much as I could,” Cleek shared. “My daughter is 2. We were doing everything we could to comply.”
In her post on instagram, she wrote “I don’t like being this person. Wearing a mask is the federal mandate… I get it. I respect it. But at some point we have to have human decency. Compassion.”
