LSU superstar, Flau’jae Johnson recently did an interview with @balleralert and spoke about Latto’s new video to the remix of Put It On The Floor.

Social media users noticed how Johnson’s teammate, Angel Reese made an appearance in the video but Johnson feels like she was left out after being asked to be in it. “Latto she hit me about it the day before. She said you should be in the video. I’m like I’m in LA right now but I can make it happen, hit my people. So we never made it happen because her people never hit my people or whatever but I had seen she had asked Angel a week before.”

Towards the end of the clip, Johnson goes on to say how she feels maybe Latto didn’t really want her in the video. “Maybe she didn’t want me in the video for real but she had to ask me because we had a relationship before and she put Angel in it. I didn’t really care because Angel was in it and that was a big moment for women’s basketball, but at the same time why wouldn’t you put me in it? That just makes since.”

Johnson also reflected on how she made a remix to Latto’s hit song and it went viral. “I did the remix it went viral, I’m a rapper, I go to LSU we got rap game history. So that situation I feel like that was a little weird.”

Angel Reese and Flau’Jae are the star ballers for LSU’s women’s basketball team and have been shining ever since defeating the Iowa Hawkeyes in the NCAA championship game.

Reese began trending when she taunted her opponent Caitlin Clark by mimicking Clark’s “You Can’t See Me” tease. Reese shook her hand in front of her own face, before pointing to her own ring finger. Amid going viral for the incident, Reese and her teammates would go on to beat Iowa, 102-85, and make history at LSU, by winning their first national championship.

Since the viral moment, the two stars have been making major moves with landing big NIL deals and Flau’Jae even received a feature from Lil Wayne!

Johnson has been dropping music since winning the championship and has been receiving positive feedback from the public. She did have one issue though, when she released a freestyle where she referenced 9/11 in her bars.

LSU caught wind of the backlash and released a statement to Fox News Digital/OutKick, It read: “We spoke with Flau’jae this evening, and while she never intended to offend or upset anyone with her lyrics, she expressed sincere remorse for any possibility of a misunderstanding and immediately took the video down. We will learn and grow from this experience together.”
