After being hit the head with a microphone that 50 Cent threw during his concert, Bryhana Monegain is breaking her silence on Instagram.
As we previously reported, Monegain attended 50 Cent’s “Final Lap” tour in Los Angeles on August 30th and received serious head wounds after the rapper seemingly got frustrated on stage and hurled his microphone into the crowd. After the concert, 50 learned he actually hit someone with the mic, that person being Monegain. Monegain, a Power 106 radio host, had a large gash in the middle of her forehead and blood stained her face and clothes.
Some reports stated Monegain allegedly told authorities that 50 looked at her before throwing the microphone, so she had reason to believe that he knew she was there. But 50 Cent’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, shut down those claims and made a statement at the time saying that his client “would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.” Now in a new post by Monegain on Wednesday she wrote, “I appreciate everyone’s support, prayers and well wishes while I’ve taken a break from social media to focus on my recovery both physically and mentally. It’s still an ongoing process but I’m thankful to be back.”
She added, “I’m also grateful to be getting back to the studio at Power 106 – I hope you’ll tune in on Thursday, October 19th for my return.”
Despite the incident that occurred that night 50 Cent’s tour was a major success. During the tour 50 cent celebrated his debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” which was released in 2003. It featured hit singles like “In Da Club” and “21 Questions” and sold over 8 million copies in its first year. 50 Cent released several successful albums, including “The Massacre” (2005), “Curtis” (2007), and “Before I Self Destruct” (2009). He’s known for his gritty lyrics and storytelling style. In addition to his music career, 50 Cent ventured into acting. He appeared in films like “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” (2005) and “Home of the Brave” (2006). He is perhaps best known for his role as Kanan Stark in the TV series “Power” (2014-2020) and its spin-off “Power Book II: Ghost.”
