UPDATE: Feds Claims A$AP Rocky Shooting Caught On Camera — Guns That Were Recently Found At His Home Weren’t Used In Shooting
LAPD is now claiming they have actual footage of the shooting incident that involves rap star A$AP Rocky. As we previously reported, he was arrested earlier this month for assault with a deadly weapon. Cops believe he shot a man in Hollywood last November during an argument, grazing his hand. The feds didn’t share details about what exactly the video shows, but if the video is clear enough, it could be bad news for him.
Following his arrest, cops found multiple weapons when they executed a search warrant on his house last week. However, they determined on the spot they were not the weapon they were looking for. Cops reportedly found shell casings at the crime scene, so they knew the type of caliber, and none of the guns at A$AP’s home were a match, TMZ reports.
It was also said that cops ran the serial number on the guns, and they were all legally acquired. From there, cops didn’t take the guns to the station, they left them at Rocky’s house. So far, the D.A. has not decided whether to charge Rocky.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that his unexpected arrest stemmed from a November 6, 2021, incident, where an alleged victim claimed Rocky shot at them 3 or 4 times. Rocky’s bond was set at $550,000 and was eventually released from jail. As previously noted, A$AP Rocky was taken into custody as he flew into LAX from Barbados following a trip with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna. The rapper and his legal team say they were shocked by the arrest and his alleged ties to the shooting. Rather than coordinate a voluntary surrender, cops simply nabbed him off the jet. Police say they needed the element of surprise so as not to tip A$AP off they would be able to search his house for the weapon.
This is just some of the latest drama A$AP Rocky is involved in. After shutting down rumors that he cheated on Rihanna with her fellow shoe designer, a new report by the Daily Mail now claims another woman is speaking out, saying Rocky reached out to her to link up. Of course, many people don’t believe that story as the first rumor turned out to be untrue.
Rocky has yet to publicly speak out on the news regarding his latest arrest or the rumors circulating online… and neither has Rihanna. However, the superstar singer appears to be in good spirits as she recently made a post celebrating her first national heroes day in her country.
