Fans did not appreciate that someone close to Darrel Walls decided to out him before he went public about his sexuality. The video, only meant for his close friends on Instagram, was leaked this week showing the gospel singer kissing another man. In response to the leak, Walls wrote on his official Twitter page, “You Are Good, Oh Lord… You Are Good.” Prior to the response, he deactivated his page then reactivated it.

In response to the leak, social media rushed in to support Wells and condemned the actions of the unknown person who outed him. One supporter wrote, “Definitely standing with you! The church and the ppl in the church are full of it! I love God and he loves me and my relationship with him is AMAZING I’ll go to church but I don’t depend on the church to get me to him! Keep living in your truth AND being who he called you to be!”

just LIVE IN YOUR TRUTH! The problem with the “church”
Is that it puts this weight on your shoulders and FORCES you to FEEL, THINK and BELIEVE that you have to be perfect. Speak up for the ones who look up to you. JUST BE YOU! You’re still 1 of the best gospel vocalists PERIOD🥰 https://t.co/NEEZq0qGHG— GeorgiaReign (@GeorgiaReign) November 29, 2020
I support you Darrel Walls 💯 We deserve to love who we want to love. You are gifted & anointed and deserve happiness. The black church is toxic and delusional and they will try to discredit and drag you but the gay community loves and supports you 🏳️🌈💙👨❤️💋👨👬🏾#lovewins #DarrelWalls pic.twitter.com/yPJPM4ydkB
