This year Hollywood Unlocked returns with the “Social Impact Awards,’ an elevated award show that aims to give you a seat at the table, no matter who you are while shining a light on black culture, media, and achievement.
Award-winning comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish has been confirmed to host the evening, which will celebrate and give flowers to industry icons who continue to impact the world and culture, with the theme dedicated to “controlling our narratives.”
“The Impact Awards honor those who have made a positive and inspirational impact for our culture,” says Jason. “It’s important to get together to celebrate and uplift one another for accomplishments made within the industry. I am honored and humbled to be able to celebrate these amazing individuals.”
Created by Hollywood Unlocked CEO, Jason Lee, the event will recognize trailblazers of the entertainment industry who have created an impact on the culture. Lee, who is also Head of Media for Ye, brings our 2nd annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards back after a hiatus during the pandemic this coming Friday, June 24 to the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom, where guests will be greeted with an evening of celebration, excellence and impactful messaging.
Addressing the importance of Black ownership & amplifying Black voices
The Impact Awards highlight the narrative of addressing the importance of Black ownership, amplifying Black voices, and reclaiming Black narratives. Hollywood Unlocked will recognize talent for how they use their influence and platform to impact communities and our society at large.
The award show will highlight recipient contributions across the music, film, media, political, social, and creative industries to celebrate their accomplishments and contributions within the Black
community. Our confirmed honorees include:

· Jenifer Lewis (Perseverance Award)
· Floyd Mayweather (Pioneer Award)
· Kelis (Innovation Award)
We will also have a special guest who is known across the world for her contributions to the music industry.
