Elliot Page Reveals He Underwent To Surgery As Part Of His Transgender Journey
In a moving cover story for Time Magazine, Elliot Page opened about his journey since coming out as transgender back in December.

In his interview, the “Juno” star talked about what his life is like now that’s he “fully become” himself. “This feeling of true excitement and deep gratitude to have made it to this point in my life, mixed with a lot of fear and anxiety.”
Deeper into the conversation, Elliot revealed that he knew he “wanted to be a boy” when he was just nine years old – but says he had to “compromise” his true gender identity in order to pursue a career as a child actor. Following decades-long struggle with his gender, Elliot explained that isolating during the pandemic actually gave him time to focus on his gender identity. The actor later revealed that he underwent top surgery, which removes breast tissue to produce a more masculine appearance. “It has completely transformed my life,” he told Time mag.
Page said the surgery doesn’t define being trans. Instead, it provided him with freedom from the “total hell” that was puberty and allowed him to finally recognize himself when he looks in the mirror.
