Ellen DeGeneres To Publicly Address Toxic Workplace Scandal

Ellen DeGeneres doesn’t plan on staying silent when her talk show returns amidst toxic environment claims.

While spotted at lunch with a friend, a photographer questioned the talk show host about whether she would be publicly addressing the claims.

“I will be talking to my fans,” DeGeneres, 62, said in a video shared by the Daily Mail.

Ellen is still under contract to continue hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show for Warner Bros. Television until 2022, with an additional new deal to develop three shows for WarnerMedia’s new streaming platform HBO Max.

However, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will no longer air on Australia’s Channel Nine following the “toxic” work environment allegations. The talk show has been airing on the channel since 2013 but it has now been announced that repeat episodes of the daytime show will be taken off air from today until an investigation is complete.

“We are resting Ellen repeats on Nine and have replaced with Desperate Housewives,” a rep for the channel said.

The upcoming season has been pushed back to Sept. 14.
