‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Ratings Hit All-Time Low Amid Toxic Workplace Reports
Amid the steady-rolling reports of a toxic workplace, ratings for Ellen DeGeneres‘ daytime talk show, ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘ or ‘Ellen,’ have hit an all-time low.
Per ‘The Wrap,’ reruns ratings have slipped to a series low last month, hitting a 1.0 Live + Same Day household rating for the week ending July 26. The decline is described as a 9% drop from the week prior, and a -29% fall from the same period this time last year. To the show’s defense, other reruns have also seen declines, including ‘Dr. Oz,’ ‘The Real,’ and ‘The Doctors;’ but DeGeneres’ show was particularly lower when compared.

Again, the ratings reports arrive after allegations of toxicity in the workplace, which first broke in March/April 2020 and were followed by more allegations in a recent ‘BuzzFeed News‘ report. Subsequent to the claims, WarnerMedia launched an internal investigation into the daytime talk show , which spawned a response from DeGeneres and led to her firing the show’s executive producer, Ed Glavin.
