Dr. Dre’s Father Blasts Son: ‘He Doesn’t Give A Damn About Me, We Have No Relationship’
While he’s still recovering from a brain aneurysm hospitalization and battling his estranged wife during a messy ass divorce, Dr. Dre‘s father is now blasting the mega mogul — claiming Dre “doesn’t give a damn” about him, and they “have no relationship.”
Speaking with The New York Post, Dre’s father, 73-year-old Theodore Young, reveals, “I haven’t seen Andre since his grandfather died and I can’t even remember when that was. We have no relationship. My other sons love me. They tell me they love me. But coming from where I come from, most young men like Andre who have a big success don’t give a damn about their dad.”

Speaking on Dre’s upbringing, Theodore says he and the rapper’s mother, Verna Griffin — who’s accused Theodore of abuse which he denies is true — split shortly after giving birth. Dre went on to live with his grandmother, who along with Verna, Theodore claims, “sprinkled a whole lot of salt” on him. In addition to Theodore’s claims, Dre’s own daughter, LaTanya Young, has been very vocal about her father being an alleged deadbeat — as she hasn’t seen him in 17 years, she claims.
