Dr Dre’s Estranged Daughter Working Odd Jobs To Survive, Abandoned For 17 Years

Dr Dre’s eldest daughter is working odd jobs to survive and hasn’t seen her mega-millionaire father for 17 years.

While exclusively speaking to DailyMailTV, LaTanya Young, 37, who is the daughter of Dre and Lisa Johnson revealed that she desperately wants to reconcile with her father. She adds that it is not about money but establishing a relationship, “Money is not what I want, I feel better doing it on my own.”

“I really just want to have closure. I just want to be able to spend time with my father.”

The mom-of-four is hoping that his ongoing divorce from Nicole Young will give them a chance to reconcile and an opportunity for Dre to meet his grandkids.

“I thought that after Nicole was out of the family, things would be better. I thought that my dad would come around. I would like him to make me feel like a daughter, she added.

She reveals that when she was younger Nicole gave off an icy vibe to her and when she tried to visit his home she turned her away. After Dre broke up with LaTanya’s mother, Lisa, 53, LaTanya had a hard time communicating with her father and always had to go through his staff.

“I hated going through third parties. If I needed him, I’d have to go to the studio and get bombarded and talked to by his security. I would have to go through his accountant or his right-hand man, I would never know whether he got my messages. I have never had a direct line to him.”

Throughout the years LaTanya has been struggling financially and even admits to applying for assistance. She’s applied for multiple jobs including a Fedex driver while she trains to be a nurse and support her family. Despite the estranged relationship, LaTanya is still hoping to build a father-daughter relationship with Dre.
