President Donald Trump launched another verbal attack on New York Attorney General Letitia James during a campaign rally in Syracuse on Friday.
Trump repeated his claims that James is “corrupt” and referred to her with insulting nicknames, including “Peekaboo” James. He also alleged—without providing evidence—that she is being investigated for prosecutorial misconduct related to a civil fraud case involving him.
James’ reelection campaign responded that Trump resorts to personal attacks because he lacks a successful policy record.
“He’s welcome to continue to rally across New York … to remind New Yorkers of their hollow right-wing agenda,” the campaign spokesperson said.
