The stadium was temporarily shut down by the Los Angeles Fire Department around 2 p.m. after anti-vaccine protestors blocked the entrance. Authorities reported that their motive was to prevent people from getting the shot by holding up signs and shouting. There were no reports of any violent incidents.

A tweet from the LAPD reads, “We are aware of social media posts referring to protestors showing up at the Dodger Stadium COVID-19 vaccination site. Preliminary reports are that protestors remained peaceful. The LAPD did NOT close the gates, and per LA City Fire, all scheduled vaccines will be delivered.”

The protest was organized by a group of people who created a social media post titled “SCAMDEMIC PROTEST/MARCH and participants were told not to wear MAGA hats and Trump supporter merchandise. It says in their description “This is a sharing information protest and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR Tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc.” as reported by KTLA.

Those who were waiting for the vaccine said it was unfair that the protest temporarily halted the opportunity to fight the virus.
