Drake imposter Izzy has been booked to square off in the boxing ring and now he’s looking for an opponent to go up against.
Damon Feldman of Celebrity Boxing tells @tmz_tv that he recently signed Izzy and booked a fight for an August 27th event. However, they’re trying to snag the real Drake for the fight! Now, the offer is just $1M. While it sounds like a big number, it doesn’t seem like enough money for Drake to stop everything that he’s doing to box the guy.
While we wait to see how this all plays out, it’s clear that Drizzy has had enough of Izzy pretending to be him. The social media personality who actually gets paid thousands of dollars to impersonate Drake — was spotted earlier this month in Houston nightclub Area 29 where he got kicked out! The video of the moment made its rounds to DJ Akademiks’ Instagram page, and the real Drake caught wind of it. In more Drake news, the real rapper landed his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Honestly, Nevermind, which dropped June 17, earned 204,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 94% of that sum coming from streaming.
This latest achievement makes Drake the fifth artist to release more than 10 No. 1 albums. He joins other artists are the Beatles (with 19 No. 1s), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen, and Barbra Streisand (each with 11).
