During an exclusive with The Neighborhood Talk, Ready Ron Beats said he did not manipulate the rapper into smoking crack during his teen years. The former mentor decided to clear the air after a clip of DMX discussing his introduction to the drug resurfaced online and shows the rapper explaining the situation after coming back from a night out when a laced blunt was being passed around and smoked without X’s knowledge.
He explained to the outlet that the pair “were only kids at the time” and they were both getting high together, meaning he wasn’t the one who exposed him to the drug and said they were only three years apart. Additionally, Ready Ron Beats said he had recorded interview clips for BET’s Ruff Ryders’ Chronicles but it never aired.
