Dad Arrested After Coercing 4-Year-Old Son To Drink Hand Sanitizer & Beg For Food Before Starving To Death
Brandon Cervera was taken into custody by San Antonio officers on Thursday with the death of his son Benjamin.
The 28-year-old dad was arrested after authorities collected cell phone footage of the young boy pleading for water and food, according to an affidavit.
The arrest affidavit, collected by KSAT, also reported that the boy — who passed away of hunger in the summer of 2021 — was forced to drink sanitizer.
San Antonio police received the alarming footage from a family member’s phone prior to arresting him on a charge of injury to a child, KSAT reports.
According to reports, the young boy had bruises on his body was unresponsive once he arrived at the hospital on August 17th.
The affidavit also discovered that Benjamin had been located sleeping in a locked room with a frameless mattress, coated in urine stains.
The woman who claims to be the deceased boy’s mom, Lala Flores, recently made a post on Facebook saying, “justice will be served.”
She wrote: “Justice will be served mi Angelito & even though when justice does come at least we’ll all know.
“I’ll never understand why this happened in the hands of your so-called loved ones.
“You’ll always be in my heart and run crazy in my mind. Mommy will always love you and your big brother.”
