Dana White is in the hot seat after being captured on video slapping his wife in the face!

As we previously reported, a video obtained by @tmz_tv showed the UFC President getting slapped by his wife and Anne White, while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last month. White is seen on camera returning the slap and pushing her away from him. Their friends immediately jumped in and pulled them apart.

White’s wife of 26 years, shared a statement via TMZ and cited alcohol as the reason behind the incident. “Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years. To say this is out of character for him is an understatement — nothing like this has ever happened before. Unfortunately, we were both drinking too much on New Year’s Eve and things got out of control, on both sides. We’ve talked this through as a family and apologized to each other. I just hope people will respect our privacy for the sake of our kids.” Dana also released a video statement saying there’s “no excuse” for his horrible actions.

“My wife and I were out Saturday night on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately that is what happened. I am one of the guys who says there is never, ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman and now here I am on TMZ talking about it. This is one of those situations that is horrible. I am embarrassed. We have three kids and since the video popped up, we have shown the kids and we are more focused on our family right now. People are going to have their opinions on this and people’s opinions would be right, especially in my case. You don’t put your hands on a woman, ever.”

Despite that, people are pointing out how Dana is seemingly getting away with this while other celebrities who have been in similar situations have been nearly canceled. Comedian D. L. Hughley said, “If #ChrisBrown, #BobbyBrown or #AntoinioBrown did what #DanaWhite did, the media wouldn’t stop talking about it!! What can Brown do for you?………Be White!! #TeamDl”

He continued in another tweet, “If one of #DanaWhites fighters had beat his wife like that, he’d already have been arrested! #TeamDl.”

More On Dana White’s Big Slap Incident

So far, the UFC’s broadcast partner ESPN has been mostly silent regarding this issue. The UFC has also released no comment… But has directed everyone to White’s statement on TMZ.

What’s even more interesting about all of this is that back in 2014, Dana said that there is no coming back for UFC fighters who were violent to women…
