A doctor is warning that men who have contracted and recovered from COVID-19 can suffer from erectile dysfunction as a long-term issue from the virus.

The new symptom was reported by Dr. Dena Grayson who told NBC Chicago that the virus has been affecting some male patient’s performance in the bedroom. She said, “We now know that people can have long term health effects from this virus, neurologic complications, and now, for men who are watching this — there is some real concern here that men could have long term issues of erectile dysfunction from this virus, because we know that it causes issues in the vasculature, as per the New York Post.
Grayson added that this new symptom can be a cause of great concern due to the long-term complications of the virus after recovery.

Currently, there are 211,000 new cases of COVID-19 and 101,190 hospitalizations in the United States. Dr. Anthony Fauci warned earlier this week that there could a surge in cases and is urging Americans to stay home during the holiday season.
The seven-day average for COVID-related death is up to 2,123.
