It looks like Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty might have scored a victory with his criminal case after he pleaded with a judge to modify the terms of his release from prison.

The Blast reports that court documents show that Petty asked the prosecutors to modify the conditions of him being out on bond which includes his access to the internet at home or work, and the United States Attorney’s Office agreed to his pleas and removed the rule, “Do Not possess or have any access to, in the home, the workplace, or any other location, any device that offers internet access except as approved by Supervising Agency.”

Considering that Petty lives with Nicki Minaj in Beverly Hills where there are multiple computers and cell phones that have access to the internet, it would have been a matter of time before he violated the terms of his court order.

As we reported, Petty was initially arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California, stemming from a rape case in New York in 1995 when he was 16. The New York State’s Sex Offender Registry indicates that an offender must notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of any change of address, which he failed to do when he moved in 2019.

After paying a bond, he was ordered to wear an ankle monitor, surrender his passport and abstain from drugs, alcohol, and weapons. According to records, he has now registered as a sex offender in California.
