Cori Broadus has shared the results of her kidney biopsy after recently undergoing surgery where a small piece of kidney tissue was removed to analyze any abnormalities.
The daughter of Snoop Dogg, who has already opened up about her ongoing battle with lupus and high blood pressure, shared a screenshot of her notes app where she detailed the outcome of what doctors discovered from the biopsy.
“Just got off the phone w my rheumatologist, and these are the results from the biopsy,” she captioned the post, which mentioned her health condition being at stage 3 out of 5. “3 is mind but still active,” Broadus wrote.
“I would’ve had to take chemotherapy if I was at 4.” While doctors recommended she start Benlysta treatment, consisting of a shot once a month or by injection every week, the 23-year-old seemed to have been assured that her condition was still at a reversible stage.
Back in September, Broadus had opened up about being diagnosed with lupus when she was just 6 years old and how the autoimmune disease led her to suffer from hair loss at a very early age.
“So my immune system is super weak. I [have] experienced hair loss, so my mom came home one day with a bunch of scarves, and we were playing in scarves and just trying them [in] different ways,” she explained.
Two months later, Broadus announced her engagement to her longtime beau, Wayne Duece. In a surprise reveal on Instagram, she shared a photo of her diamond-encrusted engagement ring, with a backdrop that read “Will you marry me?”
“The easiest YES ever🥹 @wayneduece I love you so much and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with youu😘,” she captioned the post, which has received well over 300,000 likes.
For Broadus’ 23rd birthday, Duece had penned a very sentimental message to his woman by calling her his “soul mate” while expressing his undying love for her.
