College Football Star Bodyslams Officer During Arrest!
A college football star is facing felony assault charges after a video reportedly showed him body-slamming a police officer while being arrested.
WBNS-TV reports that Michael Harris, who is a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky was arrested on Monday after the police were called about a disturbance in regards to an aggressive man at a business. The cops believe that he was intoxicated and unaware of where he was, however, when they tried to approach him, he allegedly became violent and began to wrestle with them.
The video shows Harris being hit by one cop before picking up the other officer and slamming him into the ground.
As of now, Harris is facing charges of resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct while under the influence of alcohol.
When officers searched Harris’ car they discovered pills and a digital scale that is “consistent with drug use.” However, they noted that Harris denied using medication or “illicit drugs.”
Harris is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on Wednesday.
