Bellevue Hospital said in a statement Tuesday that the incident is under investigation after the video made its rounds on social media over the weekend. It reads, “We are aware of the video involving a health care provider off duty and away from the hospital campus. The incident in the video is disturbing. The provider is currently out on leave and will remain on leave pending a review.”

“As a health system, we are committed to providing an environment for our patients and staff that is free from discrimination of any kind,” the statement concluded. As previously reported, Citi Bike Karen approached a Black man and screamed for help as she tugged on the bike. The young man tells her he already paid for the bike, but she accuses him of hurting her during the confrontation.

“Get off me! Get off me; you’re hurting my fetus,” the woman screams while pushing the man. He doesn’t shove the woman back but maintains his stance as she cries for help, and his friends tell her to buy another bike. The woman puts on fake tears as her coworker approaches her and tells her to get another bike.

So far, the video has over 40 million views since its upload on Twitter and sparked outrage as it is a reflection of Karens using their tears to harm others when situations do not go their way.
