Chris Rock is not paying any attention to Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s plea in getting the comedian to reconcile with her husband Will Smith, according to a new report. Back in February, Will stunned viewers when he hopped out of his seat and hit Chris across the face for making a joke about Jada’s buzzcut hairstyle, with Chris unaware that the chat show host had been diagnosed with alopecia in 2018.
In her most recent episode of Red Table Talk, the mother-of-two had finally decided to break her silence in a brief segment where she addressed the altercation between Will and Chris. But according to Entertainment Tonight, The Death at a Funeral star appears to have no interest in hearing how Jada believes both men should squash their differences following the incident.

“He’s not concerned with the Smiths at the moment,” a source revealed. “He’s touring and he’s preparing for a comedy special.”

While it was initially said that neither Jada nor Will would use the Red Table Talk platform to speak on what transpired at the Academy Awards earlier this year, the 50-year-old seemed to have had a change of heart as she made a plea for Will and Chris to work through their issues.
“Now, about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” Jada stressed. “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one other more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring this thing called life together.”
Following the Oscars incident, Will made a statement on his social media, saying he was resigning from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and acknowledged that assaulting Chris was a bad look not just on him but also the organizers, his fellow peers, and those who have supported him throughout the years.
But that apparently wasn’t enough for Will to be forgiven as the Academy then released a statement of their own, announcing that the Hancock actor had been banned from attending any future Academy events — in person or virtually — for a decade.
At the time, it was reported that Jada was “glad” her partner had stood up for her, with a source adding that Chris’ remark deeply hurt her. The pair formerly worked together on the Madagascar box office franchise between 2005 and 2012.
Will traveled to India shortly after finding himself in hot water back in Hollywood, but he hasn’t been seen ever since. Some of his upcoming projects, including those with Netflix, have been halted for the foreseeable future, though it’s unclear whether the Oscars situation is to blame.
