Chocolate MC, real name Yosvanis Sierra-Hernandez, was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly kidnapping a fan in Miami who simply asked for a photo. What began as a casual fan interaction spiraled into an armed robbery and bizarre ransom situation, according to police reports.
Victim Says Photo Request Ended with Gunpoint Robbery
The incident occurred in the parking lot of Chavez Supermarket, where a male fan reportedly approached Chocolate MC for a picture. Instead of posing for the camera, the 34-year-old rapper allegedly pulled out a firearm, placed it on the victim’s chest, and demanded his car and money, according to NBC Miami.
When the fan said he didn’t have any cash, Chocolate MC gave him his phone number and demanded he send money through Zelle. However, the victim didn’t have access to the payment platform, making the situation even more strange.
Kidnapped and Driven Around for Hours
Things escalated further when Chocolate MC allegedly forced the man to stay in the driver’s seat and ordered him to drive to multiple locations around Miami for more than two hours. The victim was eventually released near 270 SW 11th Avenue.
Following the victim’s release, police issued flyers in the area, leading to Sierra-Hernandez’s arrest later that day.
Chocolate MC’s Long Rap Sheet
This isn’t the rapper’s first run-in with the law.
- In May 2025, he was allegedly tied to a murder-for-hire plot involving the inmate accused of killing Cuban singer El Taiger.
- In January, he was charged with domestic battery after allegedly bruising his girlfriend during an altercation.
- He now faces a slew of new charges including armed kidnapping, sexual battery, battery, and grand theft.
Sierra-Hernandez has built a reputation not just for his music, but for a growing list of criminal charges that continue to mount with each incident.
