Chika is opening up about the time she received backlash for the tweets she made a about a crying child on Delta flight, which turned out to be T.I and Tiny’s granddaughter. While speaking with Rolling Stone in a new interview the rapper revealed that the experience almost claimed her life.
“I feel like people used that moment as a reason to dog pile. It was completely blown out of proportion,” she said. “I have a lot of thoughts on that actually. I think that any other person on this f*cking planet being frustrated and venting like that would never be taken as “harshly” as everyone else took it.”
She continued: “There’s a lot of moving parts there that people wanted to ignore in order to have a different conversation, so I allowed them to. If I were to have read into it any further, it would’ve killed me, and it almost did. So ultimately, just let that conversation happen and let people think what they want to think because who I am is going to shine through all of that sh*t anyway.”
As we previously reported, last month during her Twitter rant, Chika explained the situation saying, “the lady next to me who thought it would be a good idea to buy yourself and your twin infant first class seats on a red eye flight, who just woke me up by bringing your screaming bastard to OUR seats to soothe her, I just bought $34 wifi at 4 am to call you a stupid b*tch.” Her first tweet said. She then added, “p.s. I hate you hope you get a paper cut between each finger tomorrow, you senseless wench.”

That wasn’t all she had to say, the rapper unleashed a few more tweets that read, “like your literally mentally delayed? What makes you think a 1 y/o will shut their b*tch a** up on a 7 hour flight that takes off at ONE F*CKING AYE EM.” In a follow up tweet she said, “I’m so pissed off right now. I already had trouble falling asleep. and as soon as I do, you bring the consequence of YOUR sexual promiscuity into MY life. I got nose cancellation on and I STILL woke up. F*ck you h*e, choke.”
After getting torn to pieces online, Chika addressed her tweets and said, “I wasn’t cruel to anyone, i was mean *about* someone. stop conflating the two and acting like i caused harm. i can own what i did, i will not own what is projected onto me. i’m sorry.”
