Chicken Related Flu Could Allegedly Wipe Out Half The World
We are already sick of the Coronavirus and the damage it has done to the world, but it seems like 2020 isn’t done yet. According, to one scientist an apocalyptical bird flu could lead to the destruction of half the world’ s population.
As of now, the Coronavirus has killed over 365,000 people all over the world, but the new virus that stems from chickens could be much worse if improvements aren’t made.
Dr. Michael Gregor wrote in “How to Survive a Pandemic,” about how overcrowding and unsanitary chicken farms could lead to an apocalyptical virus.
Gregor, explains that “In the ‘hurricane scale’ of epidemics, COVID-19, with a death rate of around half of one percent, rates a measly Category Two, possibly a Three. … The Big One, the typhoon to end all typhoons, will be 100 times worse when it comes, a Category Five producing a fatality rate of one in two. … Civilization as we know it would cease.”
Gregor says that the new epidemic will primarily be from wildlife, specifically chickens.
“With pandemics explosively spreading a virus from human to human, it’s never a matter of if, but when,” Gregor writes.
24 million chickens feed the world and “as long long as there is poultry, there will be pandemics. In the end, it may be us or them.”
