Stop recording and start helping: This is something that a 20-year-old man stands by which is why he sprung into action to help save another man’s life.
On Sunday, Anthony Perry had just exited the Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train when he saw an unconscious man laid out on the live rail track. The victim fell onto the CTA train tracks during a brutal fight with another man. A video taken by bystander Tavi Ghee shows the victim twitching from what appears to be electricity hitting through his body. As the man is getting electrocuted, Perry attempts to touch him but seems to get shocked each time. However, Perry managed to free him from the tracks and began to administer CPR. Thankfully, the victim regained consciousness. Paramedics later arrived at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was expected to live. The offender, who managed to get himself out of the tracks, was also injured and is in serious condition. Meanwhile, Perry says he sustained minor burns from briefly touching the rail. His heroic act that was captured on camera was first shared on Facebook and has since gone viral.

The clip of Perry’s life-saving move caught the attention of couple Tia Walker and Early Walker who felt compelled enough to do something good for the Amazon Fresh worker. The Chicago philanthropist and founder of the “I’m Telling, Don’t Shoot” organization said his wife Tia brought the viral clip to his attention and after learning that Perry commutes more than two hours daily via two CTA buses and a train to get to and from his job, Early, who also owns a tow truck company, decided to gift him a car.

“My wife sent me the story and she says, ‘you got to see this.’” She’s hard to impress and she was like Early you got to help this kid. And I was like, ‘wait, you’re telling me that I can spend some money? ’” he joked. She’s literally the opposite of me but when I saw it I was like woah!”
Early managed to find Perry’s contact information and asked him if they can meet up so he can give him something for his great deed. While coming together at a park, Perry was met with a bunch of cameras to capture the exciting moment of being surprised with a car… but not before a little prank.
Early first gave Perry a gift card for gas knowing he didn’t have a car. Still, Perry kept a smile on his face and an even brighter one after realizing that it was just a joke and he had a fresh Audi waiting to be claimed.
Mr. Early Walker who does tons of pranks with his wife is also working on a show where he plans to prank random people. However, he says every episode will end with a very heartwarming moment.
