The latest additions appear to have been made in May, according to the CDC website. However, it was noted that this list does not include all possible symptoms. “CDC will continue to update this list as we learn more about COVID-19.”

Back in August, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made a similar change when officials added six additional symptoms to the list. At the time, symptoms for COVID-19 included chills repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell, The New York Post notes.

When the pandemic first began, it was only fever, cough, and shortness of breath that were reported to be the most common signs of the infection.

To date, there have been over 9.4 million worldwide cases of the novel coronavirus, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Meanwhile, the US alone has seen more than 2.3 million cases and at least 121,996 virus-related deaths.
