Singer/songwriter K Michelle sits down in part 1 of our exclusive interview with Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee where she opens up about having image issues, her struggles following plastic surgery and her past relationships!
K Michelle opens up about her first experience with silicone shots, adding that they are not legal in the US and that it’s a practice for women to get the procedure done in a hotel room. She adds that the next day she achieved her voluptuous look, despite already being curvy. The procedure itself would later take a negative effect on her body. The singer admits she has been sick for over a year and a half, suffering from the repercussions of the surgery.
K then reveals her relationship with Idris Elba, who claimed he could never be with just one woman but adds that he gave “amazing head”. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Lesean McCoy, who allegedly, has a small penis, and c*** too quick.
That’s not it! K Michelle then reveals that she didn’t want to be with Chad “Ochocinco” because his penis was too big!
She adds, ” I wanted my walls and I wanted to get a husband”. However, he did get her a pet monkey.

In addition to awarding legendary R&B group Xscape with the Golden Note Award, culture-pushing rap trio Migos earned the trailblazing Vanguard Award.
Also taking home their own awards were: 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Sevyn Streeter, YBN Nahmir, PnB Rock, DJ Luke Nasty, Hitmaka, Mike Will Made-It, Gucci Mane, and many more.
Plus, Warner/Chappell took the title for Publisher of the Year, for their publishing 25 of last year’s biggest hits.
Furthermore, ASCAP is a professional membership organization of songwriters, composers and music publishers of all music genres.
In addition to awarding artists for their great artistry; the Society’s main mission is to license and promote the music of its members and foreign affiliates.

As BET Experience 2018 kicked off its first night of fan fest Friday (June 22), it hosted its R&B night at Staples Center filled with soul-snatching and baby-making hits from Chris Brown, SZA, Teyana Taylor and Ella Mai.
While Breezy ran through numerous selections from his newest album, like “To My Bed” and “High End,” and classic tracks, like “Poppin” and “Wall to Wall,” London-born Mai brought out surprise guest Ty Dolla $ign; who performed their DJ Mustard production “She Don’t.”
Also, as SZA proved that she’s definitely got her vocals back hitting notes on her various ‘CTRL‘ tracks, Teyana Taylor channeled her inner Janet Jackson, sensually crooning and dancing upon the stage to her hits like “Maybe” and “Do Not Disturb.”

While he’s known for flexing his athletic abilities on the court, NBA baller Iman Shumpert reminds us that he also possesses a lyrical dexterity on the mic, debuting his newest six-track mixtape ‘Substance Abuse.’
Catching him at his release party at West Hollywood lounge Hyde Sunset, the Sacramento Kings baller, whose moniker is “Iman.,” dished to Hollywood Unlocked on his new feat, his double life as an NBA player and what’s next to come.
Additionally, Iman details that the mood of the project is “the growth of a man,” and that the title’s play on words forces listeners to debate, “Can you abuse good substances?”
Also, he shares on the transition of a baller into a rapper, stating:
“I hope people connect with it. Some people [won’t] even give it a listen because they just want to see me as a basketball player and that’s fine.”

This week Hollywood Unlocked UNCENSORED is back for another juicy episode, as our favorite hosts, Jason Lee, and Giovanni are joined by Ta’kari Lee Christie.
Ta’Kari Lee’s strained relationship with her mother Jackie Christie became a topic of conversation among the women on “Basketball Wives” and with the release of her tell-all book, we got Ta’kari first hand to open about her relationship with her mother.
Ta’Kari reveals that she has a very close relationship with Jackie’s mother, Cora, and she says that while her mother was somewhat in her life, her primary caretaker was always her grandmother. Ta’Kari explains that a lot of her issues with her mother stem from how she mom portrayed her grandmother in the media, and it was not when she was at her best.
As our show goes on, Ta’Kari shares that she has a speech impediment triggered from being 70% deaf in her left ear and 30% deaf in the right. She cites her speech impediment as a reason she struggled communicating with her mother. She adds that she struggled with depression and even contemplated ending her life.

The Artist Project by Swisher Sweets honors people who exemplify passion through their artistic endeavors and generate a spark within the music industry.
Many celebrity guests shared the red carpet to show support and celebrate the Swisher Sparks Awards, their honorees, and their artists- including celebrity favorites such as Fetty Wap, Lola Monroe, Hennessy Carolina, Jason Lee, Miss Nikki Baby, and Chanel West Coast!
John Miller, Senior Vice President of sales and marketing for Swisher Sweets, presented Gucci Mane with the award after the celebratory toast. Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, was present to support him throughout the event, and she looked amazing as always!

Professional snowboarder, skateboarder, musician and three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White hosted his annual Air + Style festival, which merged sports, music and art this past weekend ( March 3 and 4) at DTLA’s Exposition Park.
While one side of the park titled “Winter” held a snow-covered ramp, vendors/stands and a performance stage (seeing acts like Zedd, Cashmere Cat, and more); the opposing side, “Summer,” housed another performance stage (seeing acts like Gucci Mane, DRAM, Tinashe and more), vendors and stands, and a skateboarding park; with its ramps plaster with its skaters artwork.
The 31-year-old superstar sportsman proudly wore his Olympic gold medal as he signed merchandise and hung out around the festival, telling the LA Times,
“The connection between sports and music has always been there. It was just my thing to make it a little more blatant – having bands on top of the staging area for the ramps, DJs doing their gigs during the snowboard competition, things that really bring them together.”
Additionally, White explains that the fest, birthed in 2015, will soon see expansion across the globe
Despite the bit of rain that hit the fest and its eventgoers, the party kept raging throughout the weekend; with tons of food and drink vendors on-site and other fun activities to get into in between competitions and musical performances.
The series, based on the murders of Hip-Hop heavyweights Tupac Shakur (Marcc Rose) and Biggie Smalls (Wavyy Jonez), chronicles the dual police 2006 and 1997 investigations of Detective Greg Kading (Josh Duhamel) and Detective Russell Poole (Jimmi Simpson), respectively.
Joining the carpet were the aforementioned, plus: HU’s Jason Lee and Giovanni Watson (as Suge Knight‘s friend Reggie White Jr.); Bokeem Woodbine (as Officer Daryn Dupree); Anthony Hemingway (Director); Dominic Santana (as Suge Knight); Mopreme Shakur (Tupac’s brother); Regina King and more.
Additionally, the series ordered on May 12, 2017 is directed by Emmy winning director and executive producer Anthony Hemingway; along with Mark Taylor, under their Hemingway-Taylor production company.
Also, production credits Kyle Long as writer of the pilot and co-executive producer.
In addition, Greg Kading also serves as co-executive producer; who in real life led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders and authored the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations.

On the heels of the insurmountable success of Marvel’s box office hit ‘Black Panther,’ BET Networks along with creator Jeff Friday hosted the 2018 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Honors to highlight Hollywood’s African-descending trailblazers and overall, its multicultural camaraderie.
In addition to its creator, hitting the carpet with Hollywood Unlocked were the show’s host Cedric The Entertainer; and honorees: Ava DuVernay; Tiffany Haddish; Omari Hardwick and Billy Dee Williams; along with classic TV tribute honorees of ‘Martin:’ Martin Lawrence, Carl Anthony Payne, Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell-Martin.
Furthermore, Black Excellence showed up and showed out so much that host Cedric The Entertainer entered the stage with the introduction as “actor, comedian and original King of Wakanda;” and followed it up with:
“I am your host, Chadwick Boseman….It looks like the Nigerian Oscars up in here.”
Additionally, at the honors DuVernay received the Industry Visionary Award, Williams with the Hollywood Legacy Award, Hardwick with Distinguished ABFF Alumni Award and Haddish with the Rising Star Award.
Also, the American Black Film Festival stemming Honors show also gave away awards for Movie of the Year and Television Show of the Year, in both Comedy and Drama genres.
For more than two decades the ABFF has illuminated and beared excellence in independent Black cinema; in premiering and supporting the work and many careers of today’s much successful artists.
